Thank my dear! I just got a few from book Outlet so we shall see how it goes. Im nervous since they tend to come off like cheesy romances to me. I’ll keep you posted.

  1. Sajda

Yes! I totally avoid contemporary usually but I just read All the Bright Places and I really loved it. I feel completely gutted but it discussed some very difficult issues. I’ll Meet You There and Landline are on my TBR as well. I like that Landline kinda has a fantasy aspect, so it may be more up my alley.

    Great idea for TTT!

    • Brittany

That is one of the reason I choose Landline as well. I shall keep you informed if I find any contemps that I am in love with since you are my books soul twin.

  2. Shannon @ It Starts At Midnight

Ah, I am the same way, I think I am not a contemporary fan, but then I end up loving so many of them πŸ˜‰ I either own and need to read or have read all but two of these! Okay first: you MUST read I’ll Meet You There! Must! And All the Bright Places too, but be prepared for the feels. And I WANT to own and read The Devil You Know so badly! The only one that I am iffy on is The Start of Me and You. The rest I must read. Looks like you have picked quite a great list here! Hope you enjoy them πŸ™‚

  3. La La in the Library

You know Contemp is not my thing either, I do want to read Made You Up. I formed friendships with two students in college who were suffering from schizophrenia, so the topic holds an interest for me. I will be reading the sequel to Tabula Rasa, but that is Thriller Contemo and not Contemporary Romance. I will be interested to see what you think of All the Bright Places because it has been getting mixed reviews. πŸ™‚

Oh that sounds like a good sequel read! You have mixed things about All The Bright Places? I feel like I have heard nothing but raves. we shall see. πŸ™‚

  4. Cassi @ My Thoughts Literally

A lot of these are out of my comfort zone as well. I’m really picky on the Contemporary novels I read but I’m currently loving one so maybe I should give some more a try. I’ve only read Landline on this list but I loved it. There’s some magical realism elements so it may be a good transition for you. Great list!

I’m totally with you here! I so rarely read contemporary, but there are a few on my list. The Devil You Know is actually one of them! I hope you get to these and enjoy them. πŸ™‚ I can’t believe I even have anything to recommend, but I reviewed a contemporary NA romance yesterday called Withering Hope and loved it!

    Here are my Top Ten!

Great idea for a top ten post – I’m enjoying what everyone came up with this week! I was pretty boring and looked at previous topics, but I love the one you have chosen πŸ˜€
I’m exactly the same – I hardly read any contemporary books! I will check out some of the books you mentioned.

ohhhh thank you!! The night we said yes was like a last minute pick. I think ill switch it out for a colleen hoover or katie mcgarry!! and yes i hope you do get some awesome fantasy books in this year!

    • Brittany

I think so too. I’m getting bored with my genre which is a scary thing also i feel as if im missing out on a whole slew of awesomness. My books prejudice ends here! πŸ™‚
